Since Feng Shui is based on calendar cycles, energy directions, and five basic elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, it is related to Chinese astrology
history of the chinese astrology Chinese elements do not refer exclusively to matter but rather to subtle basic forms of changing energy. Elements are always in a continuous two phase cycle, such as positive versus negative or productive versus destructive. The different color associations in the home can be used to strengthen the influence of element it represents. The colors green and brown relates to wood. Colors such as red, orange, purple and strong yellows fit with Fire. Earth corresponds to light yellow, tan, and light brown. Metal goes with gray and white. Water corresponds to blue and black. Your energy map, or “bagua” (literal Chinese meaning “eight symbols”), ultimately affects how you place elemental colors in your house. For example, green might be used in the eastern part of a home to promote health and family well-being. In the Northern region blue is commonly used to fortify career plans. According to feng shui, creative endeavours are supported by pure white in the west. Using yellow in the southern area of your home is associated with being social and happy. The art of feng shui is very detailed and complex, but as you learn the various components, associations, and directions, you may find that color is a source of tranquility and stability in your daily life.

Thinking about bedroom decorating ideas : When we think about our homes we can consider bathroom accessories discount as well as many other things or course. There are many methods that we can make use of in order to decorate our homes, primarily when ones finds themselves having to work to a financial plan. We really do not have to have a lot of money to make our homes look nice and up to date and many of the things we can do is to shop second hand, make use of family members and make do with using less than perfect items as well as many other things.
If we are hoping to idealize our homes but you are on a tight financial plan then we need not worry about hiring someone to come in and help us. This is where our family and friends can come in and assist.

We will be needing many things to help us with our homes including things such as air filters for house reviews and when we are going through the idealize of our homes and some of the things we can do is to maybe hold a party to help us with our efforts of painting, laying tile, or anything else that we may have in mind. Friends and family are always willing to come and help with a decoration project and if you provide the food and drinks then they usually will never say no. Other things to cogitate when we find ourselves on a financial plan is that is may well be best to be flexible and maybe look to shop around at second hand stores and find really nice furniture, paintings, rugs, and more.

If you are willing to shop used it will surprise us some of the neat items such as air filters for the home we can find at these places that we can use that will make our homes look fabulous. We might also want to think about finding less than perfect merchandise.

Again, when thinking about our homes we can think about many things such as cooking recipes for kids to make or even cooking tips and hints and when thinking about the indoors we can of course go to furniture stores and find defective furniture that is still brand new for very low prices. Some of the furniture might have a scratch that is barely noticeable at an excellent price. Some of the furniture you cannot even see the defect and it is brand new. When you are on a budget you have to think cheap. Use your friends and family members to help you and find low cost items that are not so perfect or second hand.

Ancient Oriental philosophy is an inspiration to a lot of individuals and plain superstition to others. Both East and West practice Feng Shui with a lot of interest these days. The guidelines affect every part of life for those who believe in it. In the last years, the New Age movement was influenced by elements such as wind chimes and crystals.

The core of the philosophy is the energy flow or lack of it. How objects are placed in relation to each other dictates this flow and has a negative or positive impact on the environment. Relationships, finance and health are affected by the quality of the energy. Many people arrange the contents of their homes, following the rules and recommendations of FengShui. (Some call it Fen Shui or FenShui but its a mistake)

Different places in the house have different roles and they have to be treated in a different way. There should be only one door for the bedroom and the bed must not be placed in between the door and the window as this could disturb your sleep. The bed should be made of wood and people should sleep at least 45cm above the floor and be facing the door. Pictures of wild animals or water as well as mirrors should be avoided. Thick curtains should drape the window and the walls should be painted in green, red or blue shades.

The stove and sink should not be adjacent in the kitchen as the proximity of fire and water can lead to conflict. Cookers should be positioned in the south corner, the room must have a wide entry and microwaves are not recommended. Feng Shui is also applied to dining rooms and living rooms. There must be at least one wall without a window and the paintwork must be in bright colors. Mirrors to reflect food on the table, the hanging of family pictures and television sets or hi-fi systems that stand at the west wall are among the elements that bring luck.

Useful tips about Feng Shui in the bedroom – read and implement.

Since we are spending one-third of our time in our bedroom; therefore, it is wise to think about Feng Shui bedrooms.

Here are 8 important secrets to making sure our bedroom is fitting the best Feng Shui.

1. Do not put mirrors in the bedroom. Actually there is no place for a mirror if authentic Feng Shui guidelines are followed to the letter because it is believed that mirrors can bounce energies back and forth and thus create an unlimited source of moving energies, which is not ideal in the bedroom where one is supposed to be taking a rest. So, if the functionality of a mirror is desired, have it covered when it’s not in use and only open the cover to use the mirror when necessary.

2. Make sure the lighting in the bedroom is neither too much nor too little. When it’s too much, then the Yang energy is too dominant. It makes it hard for anyone to fall asleep when too much Yang energy is available. When it’s too dim or dark in the bedroom, then such condition is symbolic of too much Yin energy, which makes it hard for anyone to function in the bedroom either.

3. Only put your favorable objects in the bedroom – those that remind you of fond memories and experiences and will bring a smile to you face when being thought of. Do not allow anything that represents unresolved issues that are bothersome by nature in the bedroom because as it is well understood now that everything carries their own vibration, and that physical objects do store memories energetically too.

4. By all means, avoid creating “clutters” and always aim to “de-clutter” on a regular basis. These “clutters” are those big piles of things that are left sitting or standing somewhere in the room. Often times, when people are going through their daily lives so busily, they’d tend to overlook the importance of keeping the space tidy and devoid of “unattended’ structures. When these structures start to grow up on their own, they turn into “blockages” or “obstacles” that “stand in the way” in physical as well as metaphysical sense. When these “clutters” are formed, “obstacles” are created that will block the smooth flow of energies physically and metaphysically. Therefore, when things are not working out the way they should, start to “de-clutter” as this is one sure-fire way to right the wrong when it comes to reclaiming the good and smooth flow of energy.

5. Choosing the right color scheme is very important for getting good Feng Shui in the bedroom as well. Since the bedroom is mostly used for resting our body, mind and spirit, softer color scheme is much preferred to those that are dynamic by nature. Since every color has its own intensity, always choose the low intensity version of the colors to be applied. This way the choices of colors will still be plentiful because one can always choose whatever colors one likes to go along with the plan of creating good Feng Shui in the bedroom.

6. It is always a good Feng Shui idea for the bed to have a headboard with it. Yes, many a bed does not have any headboard because of its special styling. But those that do have headboard are more preferred when it comes to creating good Feng Shui in the bedroom because this insignificant feature provides the most needed “back support” – “backup” – that is very important in terms of good Feng Shui.

7. The bed should be located in the bedroom in such a way that it gives you a secured, stable and comfortable feeling when you’re sleeping on it. It should be leaned right against the wall and there shouldn’t be any space between the headboard and the wall. This is also for the “solid” support that any good Feng Shui setup will have. Never leave any space in between the headboard and the wall or else one will wake up feeling “spacey” and “not grounded” during the day.

8. The bedroom should be located as far away from the main entrance as possible because in authentic Feng Shui practice, the functionality of the Yin and Yang is very carefully configured. In this case, the Yin aspect of the house is our bedroom, and thus it needs to be not mixed up with its counterpart, the Yang, which is the main entrance of the house. The truly amazing power of Feng Shui will be made more evident when the Yin and Yang functionalities are clearly defined and put to work. Therefore, in order to create good Feng Shui in the bedroom, one is to try arranging the overall setup of the house according to this requirement as much as possible right from the beginning stage of building the house.

These 8 secrets, if followed to the letter, will help create good Feng Shui in the bedroom and you will find life so much more enjoyable with things flowing smoothly for you.

The term “real” feng shui is a term that we have to consider as important since this term has been used for many different practices that does not really represent feng shui for what it is and the customs that it was made for.

Feng Shui – What is it?

The simplest explanation of what feng shui is, can be said as the placement in the most ideal locations of human-built elements, so as not to disturb but rather encourage the natural energy emanating from the environment around. The main goal is to have all the elements work in harmony, including nature, the celestial bodies, and even those elements seemingly clashing with each other, such as hot and cold or female and male. Ensuring that all such elements harmonize assures you of the proper implementation of feng shui.

Nature in feng shui.

Asian cultures and especially the Chinese used nature to help understand their own place in the universe. Many also copied the many elements of nature in their own pursuits, for example, many of the movements of the different forms of martial arts are meant to mimic various animal movements. Music was often supposed to copy the sound and rhythm of the wind, and musical instruments were made from natural elements such as reeds and shells.

Nature also played a major role in everyday Chinese living, as plants were used to adorn the home indoors, herbs were used as medicines, and so on.

This respect for nature is very important in the teachings of feng shui, as its beliefs include the thought that everything in nature must be respected equally and all parts must harmonize.

The energy or qi.

The Chinese also firmly believed (and many still do today) in qi, or the natural energy created from all living things. Qi is believed to be a kind of life force or spiritual energy. It is
frequently translated as “energy flow,” or literally as “air” or “breath.” This energy is thought to flow freely from not only humans and animals, but from the earth itself.

In feng shui, not interfering with this energy is of great importance. This energy or qi mush be allowed to flow freely throughout the home and any other establishments. It will be discussed further about how qi is not interfered with and ensured that this is followed in the home. In the ancient Chinese culture, astronomy was also given a lot of importance. A majority of the structures that they designed were place around the position of the sun at the time the building was built. Importance was given so that adequate lighting was available in as many rooms as possible.

Putting All The Elements Together

To re-iterate, in the ancient Chinese culture it was of great importance to ensure that all these elements worked together so that harmony is encouraged for any individual and the environment around them. This way of thinking is indeed how the practice of feng shui began many centuries ago.

Feng Shui is a process that affects your internal landscape just as much as it affects your physical environment. In order for your spirit to be nourished by the enhancements you make to your home, you must start the entire process by looking inward, and this is an important Feng Shui tip that most Feng Shui consultants like me would offer to all Feng Shui beginners. This in fact is the essence of spiritual Feng Shui which looks at the Feng Shui at a higher level than the other types of Feng Shui which mostly aim at improving at a niche level; be it your office, home or bedroom.

The Spiritual Feng Shui sees the whole concept of Feng Shui at the universal level, the level to which your soul belongs and relates. If you practice spiritual Feng Shui you can never think of improving your life at the expanse of harming your neighbor or your environment. The Feng Shui tips that are offered in the article not only aim to highlight the important points one has to remember before practicing it; it also introduces the Feng Shui beginners to the new horizons that the spiritual Feng Shui can open up for them.

Though the spiritual Feng Shui communicates to your environment, your home, your office through the bodily objects, it heals your soul — to know how it works it is important for you to remember the following Feng Shui tips. All these free Feng Shui tips have valuable advice contained in them so try to imbibe them before you start your practice.

There is nothing religious about the Spiritual Feng Shui. It talks about purifying your soul, not only the empty or occupied spaces in your house. The purified soul has the radiations that are reflected from you to have strong positive energies; in Feng Shui practice, these positive energies referred to as Chi, which is the universal energy and the guiding principle.

As one would never build a new home on a rotting foundation; likewise, it is essential to clear away the debris of negativity before you create your new Feng Shui space. Only then can your spirits soar with true energy and vitality.

As you come to recognize the importance of cleansing your old attitude and beginning anew, what ever Feng Shui enhancements that you use for a Feng Shui home design (http://www.thespiritualfengshui.com/feng-shui-in-home.php) seem to be working for you.

Here are some free Feng Shui tips for everyone:
Look deep into yourself and don’t be afraid to do so! That is the only way to develop and change in a beneficial way. Be honest with yourself – you deserve truth and awareness.
Open your palms, close your eyes and reach your arms up and out, as though you are waiting to be picked up or embraced. (This is necessary for unifying your soul with the universe).
Imagine the energy radiating from your heart, your lungs, your palms and that the energy is touching everything in its path.
Beam the energy away from you, sending it into the farthest corners of the universe.
Repeat this mantra: “I am open to positive change in any form it takes.”

Before you start feng shui decorating (http://www.thespiritualfengshui.com/feng-shui-elements.php) with various Feng Shui elements, my sincere Feng Shui advice to all the Feng Shui beginners is to strictly follow the spiritual Feng Shui tips.

May be as your Feng Shui study goes deeper and deeper you would not mind spending some money for buying e books on Feng Shui, but the absolutely free Feng Shui tips that you just now have are the like the foundation stones for the spiritual Feng Shui practice. Remember that these free Feng Shui tips are going to help you a great deal in your long Feng Shui journey.

Once you are positive about accepting changes in your life the Feng Shui is there to help you in what ever you do; remember that Feng Shui (http://www.thespiritualfengshui.com/what-is-feng-shui.php) is about focusing intentions, rather than just coasting on auto-pilot. Feng Shui is about getting you back into the driver’s seat of your life, it is about accepting responsibility for yourself and your actions not only in this materialist world but also the metaphysical or spiritual world.

Nurturing yourself with Feng Shui practice and making use of the philosophy of Feng Shui in the home design will help you regain your own sense of destiny and purpose within the universe. Before you start any Feng Shui practice, whether it is about understanding Feng Shui Bagua or knowing Feng Shui Elements remember that Feng Shui is a spiritual discipline. It is just not about doing furniture placement using Feng Shui interior design but knowing yourself and your universe better so can get the positive energies from the universe and its objects. Feng Shui elements are nothing different from the elements of universe. If you follow this important piece of Feng Shui advice and bring to practice the above mentioned free Feng Shui nothing can stop you from deriving benefits of Feng Shui.

The Feng Shui masters have provided you with the technical know-how and valuable Feng Shui tips for evaluating your home and implementing Feng Shui techniques and cures. But it is up to you, and only you, to envision and bring about the specific environment and quality of life that you desire.

If you integrate all the above home design tips into your Feng Shui practice you would soon start noticing the positive changes it is having on your life.

So you’re looking into moving the concepts and principles of feng shui outside of your home and into your garden. This is a fabulous idea – after all, the energy you create outside your home directly affects the energy that is created within your home.

One of the best ways to create balanced, positive feng shui in your outdoor living space is to use plants to create positive energy. But do you choose just any plants? Are there certain plants and flowers that create better feng shui than others?

Although most all plants create positive energy for your household, there are some that clearly stand out as fine selections for generating vibrant, renewing, comfortable energy. Here are a few examples:

·	Jade (Crassula Ovata) – this plant is wonderful for creating abundance and prosperity. You can use this plant near your front door (your career area) to invite abundance-producing energy into your home. You can also use this plant in your “fame” area at the rear of your home, as well as the “wealth and p[prosperity” area at the left rear section of your home, to help provide opportunities for notoriety, publicity, and personal wealth.

·	Peony (Paeonia) – this flower symbolizes love and affection. If you have adequate sunlight, you can plant this flower in the right rear corner of your home (the “love and relationships” area) to promote harmonious family relationships. This is also a good choice for planting in or near the “creativity and children” section, in the central right part of your home, to help foster acceptance and approval of a child’s creative endeavors.

·	Chrysanthemum – this flower is associated with ease of life, happiness, and joy. Yellow chrysanthemums are particularly good for creating joyful energy around your home. This is a fantastic choice for the “love and relationships” area located at the rear right corner of your home.

·	Narcissus – this flowering bulb represents good fortune. This is another good flower to place at the front of your home, to attract abundance and good career opportunities.

·	Money Plant (Philodendron Scandens) – a wonderful plant for shaded areas. Make sure you keep the leaves trimmed so they do not become too large. This is ordinarily placed at the front of the home; however, if the front of your home is very sunny, you may want to skip this plant, because not having a money plant at all is better than having a money plant with dead leaves.

·	Lillies – these flowers help promote positive energy and good feng shui throughout the year. They also grow easily in just about any kind of soil, so they are a low-maintenance flower that you can count on year after year.

You can see that you have many choices when selecting plants for your feng shui garden. Just remember to intersperse these plants with metal sculptures and other objects that will help break up the dominating wood element of the plants and flowers. You can easily mix these elements to create a landscape that is both visually attractive and pleasing to the remainder of your senses (including the metaphysical ones) as well.
