I found a Chinese or Asian currency-old, how do I know if it is something worth?
It is between the size of a quarter and nickel and is the color a penny, so I'm guessing that is brass. One side has a building and the other party has a "10" which is inside what looks like wheat or something similar. No date I see that everything is obviosuly written in Chinese or any language that currency is. Any idea what is a bronze coin with a 10 in what is called in China or around?
Is 10 Japanese yen currency, not Chinese, because I could not find any coins from China match what you described. The coin is bronze, not brass, and the currency has been in circulation since 1951. The obverse of the coin depicts the 900 years of age Byodo-in the temple in Kyoto, with the written kanji "Nihon koku (???means Japan) at the top and the designation of" Ju In "(??media ten yen) at the bottom. The reverse is also the denomination of 10 and the date of kanji surrounded by laurel leaves. If the reverse has the kanji "??" that means the currency is issued 1951-88 Showa era, and you have "??", then the current Heisei era published since 1989. These coins 10 yen, from any period are still in circulation, and have values below $ 0.50 on average for dissemination.
