Feng Shui In Bedroom
Useful tips about Feng Shui in the bedroom – read and implement.
Since we are spending one-third of our time in our bedroom; therefore, it is wise to think about Feng Shui bedrooms.
Here are 8 important secrets to making sure our bedroom is fitting the best Feng Shui.
1. Do not put mirrors in the bedroom. Actually there is no place for a mirror if authentic Feng Shui guidelines are followed to the letter because it is believed that mirrors can bounce energies back and forth and thus create an unlimited source of moving energies, which is not ideal in the bedroom where one is supposed to be taking a rest. So, if the functionality of a mirror is desired, have it covered when it’s not in use and only open the cover to use the mirror when necessary.
2. Make sure the lighting in the bedroom is neither too much nor too little. When it’s too much, then the Yang energy is too dominant. It makes it hard for anyone to fall asleep when too much Yang energy is available. When it’s too dim or dark in the bedroom, then such condition is symbolic of too much Yin energy, which makes it hard for anyone to function in the bedroom either.
3. Only put your favorable objects in the bedroom – those that remind you of fond memories and experiences and will bring a smile to you face when being thought of. Do not allow anything that represents unresolved issues that are bothersome by nature in the bedroom because as it is well understood now that everything carries their own vibration, and that physical objects do store memories energetically too.
4. By all means, avoid creating “clutters” and always aim to “de-clutter” on a regular basis. These “clutters” are those big piles of things that are left sitting or standing somewhere in the room. Often times, when people are going through their daily lives so busily, they’d tend to overlook the importance of keeping the space tidy and devoid of “unattended’ structures. When these structures start to grow up on their own, they turn into “blockages” or “obstacles” that “stand in the way” in physical as well as metaphysical sense. When these “clutters” are formed, “obstacles” are created that will block the smooth flow of energies physically and metaphysically. Therefore, when things are not working out the way they should, start to “de-clutter” as this is one sure-fire way to right the wrong when it comes to reclaiming the good and smooth flow of energy.
5. Choosing the right color scheme is very important for getting good Feng Shui in the bedroom as well. Since the bedroom is mostly used for resting our body, mind and spirit, softer color scheme is much preferred to those that are dynamic by nature. Since every color has its own intensity, always choose the low intensity version of the colors to be applied. This way the choices of colors will still be plentiful because one can always choose whatever colors one likes to go along with the plan of creating good Feng Shui in the bedroom.
6. It is always a good Feng Shui idea for the bed to have a headboard with it. Yes, many a bed does not have any headboard because of its special styling. But those that do have headboard are more preferred when it comes to creating good Feng Shui in the bedroom because this insignificant feature provides the most needed “back support” – “backup” – that is very important in terms of good Feng Shui.
7. The bed should be located in the bedroom in such a way that it gives you a secured, stable and comfortable feeling when you’re sleeping on it. It should be leaned right against the wall and there shouldn’t be any space between the headboard and the wall. This is also for the “solid” support that any good Feng Shui setup will have. Never leave any space in between the headboard and the wall or else one will wake up feeling “spacey” and “not grounded” during the day.
8. The bedroom should be located as far away from the main entrance as possible because in authentic Feng Shui practice, the functionality of the Yin and Yang is very carefully configured. In this case, the Yin aspect of the house is our bedroom, and thus it needs to be not mixed up with its counterpart, the Yang, which is the main entrance of the house. The truly amazing power of Feng Shui will be made more evident when the Yin and Yang functionalities are clearly defined and put to work. Therefore, in order to create good Feng Shui in the bedroom, one is to try arranging the overall setup of the house according to this requirement as much as possible right from the beginning stage of building the house.
