Have this ever happened to you? Do you have thoughts of improving your home but you don’t really know where to start or what to look out for? In order to improve your home, you must know what exactly you want to achieve. Home improvement can do wonders. If you don’t believe me, why don’t you read on to find out more about home improvement?

When you finally reach home after that long day at work, do you feel relaxed and at ease when you reach home? If your answer is no, home improvement may just be the answer for you. How do you change it around? With the help of Feng Shui, of course!

What is Feng Shui all about? Feng Shui actually toyed with the idea of having everything connected to one another, somehow and someway. It is about the movement of energy that always moves around in the house and achieving balance of the energy is the main objective. The location of your house and direction of where your house points to affects the Feng Shui of your house.

You should consider home improvement if your home does not help you to relax or calm you down. You should also consider home improvement if your home feels too stuffy and hot or even if you want to improve your life such as your own personal love life. Feng Shui will do the trick. The following are some ways you can do to improve your life with using Feng Shui.

By adding wind chimes to your home, it could actually stop the energy from stagnating and your life could be improved fairly easily just like that! It is always advisable to use metal wind chimes as they are hollow and will create noise. Anything that has or with a sharp corner is considered as bad, you can put plants around to soften the corners. Always sit facing away from the walls and you should never sit with your back facing the window, best if you could sit facing towards the door.

Using fresh flowers will not only improve Feng Shui but also your love life! The fresh flowers should be placed near a west facing window. Energy level can also be improved with the help of a crystal in the room. The whole house should be kept clean at all times, particularly your home entrance.

Another great way to improve the energy levels in your home is to use mirrors but you cannot add them anywhere you desire. Adding mirrors are tricky because you have to be very cautious about what exactly is being reflected. You have to make sure that every room is being used otherwise stagnant energy can start to build up.

Now that you know have learnt more about home improvement and how home improvement can make a difference in your life, I suggest that you put the techniques into action now!

Form and function has always been very important to our society. Even before electricity, running water and gas powered vehicles, our instinctive nature for creating items to sustain our basic needs with the best possible results, has been unequaled to any other species in our world. However, the need to be the biggest and the best in our endeavors is taking a toll on what once seemed an endless supply of wood from forests and natural resources that we use for plastics in our insatiable hunger for the most current of modern furniture.

An eight year young company based in Los Angeles started out as a mass producer of limited-edition furniture but had the foresight to realize that we are living in a world of waste. This prompted Orange22 to think about introducing a new form of unique furnishings, stamped with the mark of international artists and designers and benefiting the world at the same time. Protecting our natural resources and helping mankind is what Blank Canvas Project is all about.

The staff of Orange22 is dedicated to using only earth friendly materials in their designs in an effort to conform society into realizing that it is not necessary to destroy the earth to present beauty in designs. In addition to creating awesome one of a kind masterpieces, this group has yet another goal. The need for helping mankind with such problems as cancer, AIDS, and education are but a few of the areas where worldwide artists of today are leading.

To date, Orange22 has created an initial line of Botanist furniture, known as the Botanist Blank Canvas Project. A dynamic team of designers were hand picked by Dario Antonioni, Founder and Creative Director of Orange22, to leave their artistic mark on three pieces of furniture, a bench, coffee table and end table of the Blank Canvas Series. Each designer, together with Orange22, donates a portion of the royalty to a charity or foundation of their choice.

Such recognized names as Massimo and Lella Vignelli, Milton Glaser and Clause Zellweger leave their individualized signature on each piece offered. Owning a work of art by these greats is not only desirable but functional, as well. Sturdy, lightweight, and environmentally friendly, the bench, coffee table or end table can grace a furniture grouping or stand alone in any home or office.

Dario hopes that his doctrine of utilizing collaboration to create positive change will resonate beyond the design community, modern furniture, and ultimately help to affect and inspire the greater global community. Orange22 has plans for Botanist in the future, as well. Antonioni is currently working on a book called A Decade of Botanist: A Philanthropic Product, 80 designers and 80 foundations and how we’ve helped change the world.

Many of the feng shui home tips are misinterpreted leading to incorrect applications. For instance, many people avoid putting their aquarium in the kitchen since they consider water will extinguish the fire element specific to this house area. Such a principle has to be understood symbolically, particularly since the presence of the water tank in the kitchen could increase the prosperity of the home. Another false feng shui home tip is that of never keeping books in the bedroom since they will stimulate you and prevent good sleep. False!

The feng shui home analysis further involves the careful investigation of the front and back structures as they are differentiated from houses. On the other hand apartments tend to follow the light source, looking towards windows, but the problem under such circumstances would be the entrance that is often dark because it’s located more towards the center of the building. Compensations do exist in the feng shui design of an apartment. You can attract more positive energy when you can make the choice of floor you want to live at, not to mention that the selection of the flat with the best view is one other top point to benefit from in terms of feng shui home arrangement.

In order to be able to design a positive feng shui bedroom, one needs to be able to comprehend and know how to trigger the ways that nourish the flow of sensual harmonious energy. A remarkable feng shui bedroom is recognized by the type of sensations and emotions it generates: it has to be luring and exciting while still offering a feeling of calm and security. One has to feel comfortable in a feng shui bedroom regardless whether we are talking about an afternoon nap, a great night sleep or an incredible act of passionate love. Here are some of the most common tips and tools to be used for the design of an incredible feng shui bedroom.

Chinese jade feng shui items have the highest value on the market due to the precious nature of the gemstone that is superior to the jade extracted from Mexico, Russia or Turkey. If you acquire jade feng shui items online and you are interested in getting something authentic, then it is a good idea to ask for some form of certification. If the supplier cannot offer such an authenticity proof, you may consider another source. Just to make an idea of how expensive jade feng shui jewelry can be, consider the fact that some items go higher than a few thousand dollars.

Other colors feng shui relies on have the same complexity of interpretation. One could easily wonder why colors are so important to all traditions. The answer to this question is simple and deep if we think about the very essence of a color: they contain light to a higher or lower degree depending on the nature of the object they pertain to. Therefore, light, chi or life force become synonyms in the complex paradigm of the universe. Hence, the colors feng shui uses are vehicles for the chi and therefore they are able to influence moods, change fortune, improve health and so on.

Moreover, we have to acknowledge the trendy aspect of the feng shui tips. False values that do not take the essence of this practice into consideration but rather remain limited to the surface luster of apparent benefits are harmful by nature. Shallowness does not make a match with real feng shui; hence, do not make this practice a bombastic element of your life; the only thing that matters is what results from it. Understanding, analyzing, putting into practice and constantly learning, these are the ways to cultivate the spirit of feng shui in its authentic form.

Applied to a regular work cubicle, feng shui design could positively influence your life: there may be a better salary, a healthier body and a more rewarding personal life. Such accomplishments may seem too good to be true but they are the sheer and real consequence of the ancient art of energy – drawing space arrangement. The work surfaces are just as important as windows, entrance and corners for the optimal cubicle feng shui design. Though it may sound unbelievable to a newbie to the principles of feng shui, the very location of the waste basket and the position of the lighting fixtures have a word to say in how harmonious and fulfilled you are professionally and personally.

At the moment, cubicle feng shui redecorations have attained an incredible popularity in the United States and the Western countries in general. For business meetings and deals, feng shui could be ruining or enriching, depending on whether you benefit from the bounty of cubicle feng shui arrangement or not. Therefore, the first impression one makes when going into your office will influence the business friendship in every way. Thus, focusing a good energy flow in the entrance area is crucial to the success of your business; this is the place where the energy enters the cubicle like a sanctuary and changes the visitor’s perception in a good way.

Cubicle feng shui design eliminates the clutter, creates more room and lets you breathe freely while allowing you to enjoy the hours you spend at work. The clutter alleviation is not positive only from a psychological point of view, as it also enhances the drop of meaningful energy in the space. Feng shui practitioners will often indicate the fact that a cluttered cubicle only makes you look for more things, and therefore elude tons of precious time. Then, there comes color, an aspect that must not be forgotten in the cubicle feng shui decorating. Choose colours that bring harmony and a salubrious feeling so that you may be able to work productively and efficiently.

Creativity also needs to be stimulated and you can achieve this by including some vibrant spot of color on the desk, on the walls or in a corner you lay the eyes on when working. Such aspects of cubicle feng shui design make the efficiency of work to significantly increase with minimal effort. You may consult a cubicle feng shui guidebook or manual so as to see how to integrate plants in the decorum too. Yet, do not consider the art of stimulating the natural chi in the environment as an elixir or solve – all solution. There will still be impediments and ups and downs to experience at work or at home, you just have to imbibe the lessons and steer on as harmoniously as possible.

The choice of the feng shui bedroom colors always follows a careful consideration of the occupants’ temperament. Furthermore, the bedroom of a couple will be painted differently than the bedroom of kids or teenagers, since the age peculiarities cannot be ignored. Therefore, for couples, feng shui bedroom colors could often fall in the realm of neutrality which includes soft blues, greens as well as pastel colors. In the case of youngsters, the bedroom could be a place not only for night rest but for creativity too, and in such a case the feng shui bedroom colors need to include some shades of orange and a little yellow to help one focus better.

Feng shui rules have often led to the creation of taboos, and from a certain point of view they can become eternal. Well defined – embodiment notions and truths are tough to pass since the very world of the feng shui art is not an exact science but a subtle one, relying on interpretations, peculiarities and all sorts of environmental details. whilst the taboos are countless, the feng shui rules enable one to run space more comfortably and in a way that brings out the goodness. Here are a few tips on the do’s and don’ts as the first results of the correct or incorrect applications of feng shui rules.

Chinese coins are an example of feng shui items for good wealth; they symbolize the sameness of universe and decease. They can be spread about the work place or the house, or they can be worn as amulets. Then, feng shui items with dragon and phoenix representations also symbolize prosperity, often engraved on jewelry items, pendants and decorations to be hung on house walls. Even a pair of gold chopsticks could help increase one’s fortune.

Walls are indeed the main color source in the room, but painting is the easiest of all the color matching one needs to do in symmetry to create a nice design. The feng shui bedroom color matching doesn’t always begin with the walls necessarily, the color of the bed is just as important. The bed could very well be the symbol of your personal throne, and must be molded and chosen so as to embody comfort and positive energy to your life. For example, if you go for a charcoal bed, then, you’ll have to complement it with a good lighting system and lots of special fixtures to compensate for the darkness that comes with it in the evening hours.

The creation of concrete flows of energy into a defined space is most easily attained by feng shui colors. Each color expresses one of the five elements water, metal, wood, earth and fire; they are all represented on the color chart called Ba – Gua, altogether with the cardinal points and the life sectors they correspond to. Different guides for feng shui colors have been made, and they can be downloaded from several Internet sites that deal in feng shui consultancy. How does one integrate the feng shui color in the decor? Wall painting is not the only way to balance the color energy in your room: art, photography and decorations are other viable sources.

People with compulsive, fiery personalities should go for feng shui bedroom color shades that are slightly the opposite of what they irradiate. Thus, in such a case, mild tones of brown or cream will bring calm, serenity and great relaxation to your night hours. The personality dominant can be expressed more adequately in the rest of the decorum, in the carpets, the drapes or the decorative details. Experts claim that two feng shui bedroom color hues are enough when it comes to the appeal to one’s eye, as compared to multiple shades.
